Rules
The competition is broken down into a series of weeks. A week commences at 12pm (noon) Friday AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) and concludes the following Friday at one second prior to 12pm (noon). Tips for a week must be submitted prior to the commencement of that week i.e. get them in before 12pm (noon) Friday time. Tips are be submitted over the web via The Tippenator.

You must tip a team to win or a draw and enter a margin, draw tips will automatically save the margin as zero. If you do not enter your tips your score for the week will be zero. Otherwise you score a point for each correct tip. That's 1 point for each winning team you correctly pick and each correct draw you pick. In the event of a tie, a margin countback determines the winner.

A countback is performed as follows;

  • each of the tied tipsters has a base score of zero
  • they score a point if;
    • they are the only person to have tipped that game correctly or,
    • if more than one person has tipped that game correctly they are closest to the game margin in either direction or,
    • if more than one person has the closest margin each player with the closest margin will score a point.
The competition winner is the tipper with the highest aggregate score at the end of the season.
